He has lived and worked in the US, China, and Singapore, and gained extensive experience in Europe. XQ's accumulated operating and investment experience has built him a proven track record in taking technologies from concepts to commercial realities.

Through the years, XQ transformed Esco into a global life sciences group. With XQ's leadership, the Esco Lifesciences Group's enterprise value has increased by more than 300x. He initiated Esco's expansion into the US when he was studying at Wharton, developed its global sales force and manufacturing capabilities organically and through M&A, and established its Medical IVF Tools business unit. He has also developed multiple Esco products and patents, resulting in cumulative revenues of over US$1B.

Today, XQ is at the helm of forging into the future with the Esco 3.0 transformation — strategic bolt-on M&A, expedited expansion in China. This next phase in the evolution of the Esco Lifesciences Group is focused on developing and commercializing cell and gene therapy tools and technologies. XQ is also increasing R&D and in-licensing efforts to develop and commercialize enabling novel life science research tools in emerging domains, thus enabling fundamental scientific discoveries and, ultimately, the diagnostics and medicines of tomorrow.
